FORT WAYNE, IN—3/30/2015 — This book is a work of fiction that details what John, an ordinary farmer, faces as the situation in this country deteriorates until we reach a crisis.

It tells a story of what could happen to John and the tough choices he has to make to protect his family and his way of life. He is faced with the decision to either go along with the authorities or to risk his family’s life in hopes of finding a better future.

“Many of the events in this book could actually happen here,” Baynes stated. This book not only tells the events that could happen, but also what caused these events to unfold.

The book is written in easy to understand language and moves at a rapid pace.

Like most people in this country, John believes that life for him will continue to go on as it has for his father and grandfather. He expects his children and grandchildren will have the same opportunities in life as he has. He starts to see signs that the economic climate in this country is changing, but he expects it to pass.

Only when it is too late does he realize that life can change dramatically and quickly.

Once these changes happen, he has to make some very hard choices to try to preserve a way of life for his grandchildren.

As a debut fiction writer, Baynes wrote this novel as a message. This book portrays a very similar message as “The Harbinger”. Baynes has been an avid reader most of his life and felt compelled to write this novel when he saw the direction America is headed.
